Early Life
Logan Paul was born on April 1, 1995, in Westlake Ohio. He went to Westlake High School, got the ranks of The Plain Dealer’s All-Star linebacker on the football team back in 2012, and qualified for the state-level Ohio High School Athletic Association 2013 Division I Wrestling Individual Championships. Personal Life
In October 2015, Paul used to live in the same apartment complex on Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood, California as other social media stars including Juanpa Zurita, Amanda Cerny, and Andrew Bachelor, with his roommates Mark Dohner and Evan Eckenrode. This adjacency led to many collaborations on their videos. Paul and Eckenrode relocated to an estate in Encino, California in October 2017.

Floyd Mayweather Boxing Match
On June 6, 2021, Paul fought against Floyd Mayweather in a professional boxing match. Reportedly, he negotiated a deal in which he would earn a base salary of $250,000 and in addition, he would also be eligible to get 10% of Pay Per View profits. Floyd was allegedly supposed to receive $10 million to appear and further, he was also entitled to a jaw-dropping 50% of the PPV profits.
Paul said that he would earn at least $20 million from the bout and Mayweather said he would earn around $50 million.
Around 1 million people bought the fight in reality. So, Mayweather made nearly $35 million and Paul made nearly $5.25 million.
Suicide Forest Controversy
Logan posted a video on his YouTube channel that he had shot on December 31, 2017, at Aokigahara at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan. This region is usually called the suicide forest since it is a place where several people have visited to attempt suicide. His video featured a dead body hanging from a tree.
Just within 24 hours, the video gathered 6.3 million views. This video led to many online petitions requesting YouTube delete Logan’s channel. As a result of this, Logan deleted the video from his YouTube channel and also released a written apology via Twitter the next day of uploading the video.
A statement was also issued by YouTube on January 9, via their Twitter account criticizing his video. YouTube announced on January 10 stating that it was removing Logan’s channels from its preferred ad program, Google Preferred. He was also removed from the YouTube Red series “Foursome.” After that, Logan donated $1 million to suicide prevention agencies.
Other Controversies
In early 2018, YouTube dismissed all advertising on Logan’s channels because of his “pattern of behavior.” YouTube was particularly indicating Paul participating in the Tide Pod challenge, the time he took out of his pond to, in his terms, “jokingly give it CPR,” and the time he filmed himself utilizing a taser gun on 2 dead rats.
