Originally from Poland, Paleta grew up near Kraków. The Paleta family moved to Mexico permanently when her father, musician Zbigniew Paleta, was offered a job there.
On a whim, Ludwika was escorted to an acting audition by her sister, Dominika Paleta. After impressing the casting directors, Ludwika was handed her first television part in Carrusel (1989). Paleta’s character made her an immediate star.
Three years later, in 1992, she returned to television in El Abuelo y yo with Gael Garcia Bernal, which she considered her favorite role to date.
