Can We Expect Moon Knight Season 2?

Moon Knight, Marvel’s highly anticipated series, aired this week, revealing a distinct aspect of the iconic film universe.

The series, directed by Mohamed Diab and developed by Jeremy Slater, follows Marc Spector/Steven Grant as he attempts to make sense of his numerous personas and blackouts. It is MCU’s sixth television series.

Oscar Isaac will not reprise his role in Moon Knight.

Moon Knight fans had some bad news this week when it was reported that actor Oscar Isaac did not sign a multimillion-dollar deal with Marvel Studios to star in the series. He agreed to appear in only the six-episode series. In an interview with Variety, he revealed more:

“I was in a position—because I wasn’t actively looking to get back into something this big—to say, ‘This is how I see it, and if you guys don’t see it that way, that’s okay, but then maybe it’s not the right fit, and so I wasn’t afraid that I was going to do the wrong thing.”

The announcement came after Marvel Studios decided to cancel the large six-to-nine film deals with performers like Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, and Sebastian Stan.

According to Kevin Feige, President and Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Studios and Marvel Entertainment, the contract varies with each project, seeking to eliminate contractual responsibilities.
