Cotton Fest 2022 Tickets & Tour Dates

Cotton Fest returns for a third season after a brief hiatus over two days at The Station, a decommissioned Edwardian-era railway station in Newtown. Cotton Fest celebrates South African youth culture’s energy, enthusiasm, and unique style.

It brings together a high-octane roster of local artists, musicians, rappers, and DJs to perform over three stages. This year, the event’s theme is “university and campus,” and the festival area has been created to resemble a multi-layered ‘college’ atmosphere.

The event, founded by the late rapper Riky Rick, features three stages: the Cotton Stage, which features the festival’s headliners; the Better Stage, which showcases emerging New Wave artists; and the Jägermeister Stage, which showcases the finest in house techno, and Amapiano.

Following Riky Rick’s death in March 2022, fans and peers across South Africa’s hip-hop community respect the rapper’s remarkable contribution to the music landscape.

Numerous notable on-stage collaborations are planned during the event, with more than 130 performers, including Cassper Nyovest, Distruction Boys, Kwesta, Nasty C, Okmalumkoolkat, Sjava, and Stogie T.

There will be a pop-up basketball court for ballers, a skate ramp for skating lovers, and living music.

Additionally, there is a fashion and accessory shopping section and a selection of food and beverage vendors. There are lockers for your items in line with the festival’s ‘university campus’ motif.

Follow the event on social media to stay updated on the newest lineup updates.
