Will Gotham Season 6 Gonna Happen?

Gotham is an American crime-drama superhero television series produced by Warner Bros. and developed by Bruno Heller and it is inspired by the characters of the Batman mythos in comic books published by DC Comics.

The series stars Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, David Mazouz, Zabryna Guevara, Sean Pertwee, and many others and it follows Gordon’s initial days at the Gotham City Police Department after the killing of Bruce’s parents, and also the base stories of Batman’s prominent rogue’s gallery.

The first season of the series premiered on September 22, 2014, and ended on April 25, 2019, on Fox with a total of 22 episodes and ran for five seasons and has a total of 100 episodes.

The series received many positive reviews from audiences as well as critics and has an IMDB rating of 7.8 out of 10 and 77% on Rotten Tomatoes. After the fifth season of the series fans were curious to know about the sixth season and here’s what we know so far about it.

Is Gotham Renewed for Season 6?

The fifth season of Gotham premiered on Fox on January 3, 2019, and ended on April 25, 2019, with just 12 episodes whereas the previous four seasons had 22 episodes each.

Coming to the renewal of the series for a sixth season, it had been officially announced by Fox Entertainment and the companies involved in the development of the series that the fifth season will be the final and concluding one.

So, considering that, we don’t think we are going to have another season for Gotham until or unless the team reconsiders their decision.

Who Can Join the Cast of Gotham Season 6?

If the series gets a renewal for another season, then we can expect the following cast to return to reprise their roles:

  • Ben Mckenzie to portray the character of Gordon
  • Sean Pertwee to portray the character of Alfred Pennyworth
  • Donal Logue to portray the character of Harvey Bullock
  • John Doman portrays the character of Carmine Falcone
  • Morena Baccarin to portray the character of Leslie Lee
  • James Frain portrays the character of Theo Galavan
  • Jada Pinkett Smith to portray the character of Fish Mooney
  • Drew Powell to portray the character of Butch Gilzean
  • Alexander Siddig to portray the character of Ra’s Ghul

There may be certain changes or additions to the cast of the sixth season if it happens.

Gotham Season 6 Expected Storyline

Well, to be straight, the fifth season didn’t end with any unanswered questions or cliffhangers.

Bruce Wayne (portrayed by David Mazouz) turned into Batman in the last season and in addition to that, we also saw Jim Gordon (portrayed by Ben McKenzie) becoming the mustachioed officer from the famous DC comics.

Since almost all questions and cliffhangers got resolved at the conclusion of the last season, we don’t think the sixth season will be the continuation.

However, if the makers decide to renew the series, then they can rethink how they can feature it as a continuation. But these are all just speculations and as of now, Gotham Season 6 stands canceled.

We will keep you updated with all the latest information until then stay tuned to our website.
