MrBeast Net Worth Height, Age, Career, Bio, and More

Jimmy Donaldson, professionally known as MrBeast is an American YouTuber, entrepreneur, and internet Star.

He gained popularity for his YouTube videos that are mainly focused on expensive stunts and also became one of the highest-paid YouTubers worldwide.

What Is the Net Worth of MrBeast?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Donaldson has an estimated net worth of $25 million and he typically earns $3 to $5 million monthly. He earned nearly $24 million in 2020 from his YouTube channel, sponsorships with popular brands like Microsoft and Electronic Arts, and also from merchandise sales.

Early Life

When he was 13, Donaldson uploaded his first YouTube video in 2012 on his handle named “MrBeast6000”; at that time his content varied from Let’s Plays (majorly centered on Minecraft and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2), to videos anticipating the wealth of other YouTubers, then the ones that delivered tips to forthcoming YouTube creators, and commentary on YouTube drama.

During his initial time on the channel, he himself appeared in his videos. The subscriber count of his channel in July 2013, later named “That-dude”, was nearly 240.

He rose to fame in 2015 and 2016 on the platform because of his “worst intros” chain of videos, which collected and made fun of YouTuber introductions he spotted on the site. During the middle of 2016, he gained nearly 30,000 subscribers.

He dropped out of East Carolina University in the fall of 2016 so that he can pursue a full-time career as a YouTuber and his decision wasn’t supported by his mother which compelled him to move out of the family home.

His channel started getting popular so much that he had to recruit four of his childhood friends: Chandler Hollow, Garrett Ronalds, Chris Tyson, and Jake Franklin so that he can manage his work and the channel efficiently and that has prompted the regular appearance of all of them in his videos.

Later, they got in touch with many YouTubers to gather statistics on their popular videos and to estimate the platform’s recommendation system.

Personal Life

Donaldson started dating Maddy Spidell in June 2019 and the duo met via Twitter. In February 2020, Maddy was disclosed as Donaldson’s girlfriend for the first time in a video: “Surprising My Girlfriend With 100,000 Roses For Valentines Day” and the video has over 50 million views at the time of writing this article.

She then continued to be seen in many other MrBeast videos like “I Adopted EVERY Dog in a Dog Shelter” and “I Spent 50 Hours in Solitary Confinement.”

Career

At the age of 12, Donaldson began uploading videos on his YouTube channel titled “MrBeast6000”.

His early videos include majorly reaction videos, video game commentary, and funny compilations.

In 2017, he rose to fame extensively following the release of the video “counting to 100,000.” He spent 44 hours counting to 100,000 in that video and it continued to be watched over 21 million times.

Later, he followed up with a video in which he counted 200,000. His other notorious achievements include reading the dictionary, reading the “Bee Movie” script, ubering across America, calling “Logan Paul” 100,000 times, and seeing the dreadful Jake Paul music video titled “It’s Every Day Bro” on repeat for continuous 10 hours.

And today, he has over 90 million combined subscribers on his YouTube accounts with over 10 billion views. Even the most average videos have over 20 million views. He has 9 million followers on Twitter, 12 million followers on Instagram, and 13 million followers on TikTok.

He collaborated with PewDiePie and acquired billboards and radio advertisements in order to aid him in getting more subscribers than T-Series.

He received nominations for Vlogger of the Year at the 2019 Shorty Awards. He received an award for the Breakout Creator and received a nomination for a 2020 Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Male Social Star. He won the 2020 YouTuber of the Year award. He also was the 2020 Creator of the Year at the Streamy Awards.

Within just a week in July 2020, he earned 400,000 new subscribers and had over 80 million views on his videos with this, he became the 20th most-popular personality on YouTube at that time.

He has revealed to himself that he spends just as much as he earns each month to make content. That lines up when you consider that in some videos, he is actually spending a million dollars. He spent a minimum of $3 million on production costs, staff salaries, rent, and others in August 2020.

Stunt Philanthropy

In 2018, Donaldson actually hit pay dirt when he started the pattern of “stunt philanthropy”.

Particularly in one notorious video during this period, he had given away $1,000 to strangers and that led millions of fans to subscribe to his channels soon which saw him spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, and in fact, $1 million.

Ad Revenue

Video advertisements gather immensely different CPMs in different nations. In the United States and Canada, a video ad pays remarkably more than an ad view in Brazil.

Although, we can assume an average video CPM of $5. That is $5 per thousand views, net to Donaldson and with 283 million views this amounts to $1.4 million in net earnings.

Sponsorships

Initially, it has been reported that Donaldson charges $1 million monthly to become the primary sponsor of his main video page. For instance, in March that sponsor was credit bureau Experian.

I believe it would be safe to say that with these sponsorships on his other channels, he is earning at least another $1 million, for a total of $2 million.

Merchandise

AKA the secret holy grail. According to reports, earlier this year when Donaldson earned $54 million, nearly HALF he made from merchandise sales. That broke down to $2.25 million monthly.

Mobile Gaming

Donaldson launched a multiplayer endurance game titled “Finger on the App” in June 2020. The idea of the game was pretty simple and users from across the world became habituated to keeping a finger on their phone screen in the application. The last person to take it off would receive $25,000.

Awards

Donaldson received many nominations for several prominent awards throughout his career. He won Breakout Creator at the Streamy Awards in 2019. In the same year, he received a nomination for Ensemble Cast and Creator of the Year.

MrBeast won the below-mentioned Streamy Awards in 2020:

In the same year, he also won the award for YouTuber of the year at the Shorty Awards.

He received a nomination for Favorite Male Social Star at the Kids’ Choice Awards in 2021. MrBeast won the award for Favorite Male Creator at the 2022 Kids’ Choice Awards

Beast Burger

In collaboration with more than 300 restaurants around the United States, Donaldson introduced the “Beast Burger” and right after the day of releasing the MrBeast Burger app on the Apple store it swiftly grew to be the #1 most well-known free app on the platform. So far, he has sold more than a million burgers.

Clothing Line

Apart from his revenue from YouTube, Donaldson’s second major income source is his merchandise brand.

Sold via shopmrbeast.com, he delivers an extensive variety of hoodies, t-shirts, hats, water mousepads, bottles, backpacks, and others. It has been predicted that he earns nearly 40 percent of his annual income from merchandise sales.
