Invented and produced by Tyler Perry, HAHN was OWN’s first scripted show. The criminal drama series, based on a 2011 play of the same name, follows three families: the Cryers, the Harringtons, and the Youngs.

Unfortunately, The Haves and The Have Nots did not receive a ninth season renewal.
Due to the show’s declining ratings and Perry’s contract with OWN expiring in 2019, it’s extremely unlikely that the show will be renewed for a second season.
Tyler Perry referred to the finale as the “last show” in an Instagram video, indicating that he presently has no plans to resume the program.
“We are indebted to Tyler Perry, the fantastic cast, and everyone at Tyler Perry Studios for eight incredible years of producing ‘The Haves and the Have Nots, ‘ one of the most popular shows on cable television in the last decade,” said Tina Perry, president of OWN.
The series will forever be remembered as the network’s first written drama, something we are extremely proud of. We’re excited for viewers to experience Tyler’s meaty stories for the final episodes.”
While the likelihood of a ninth season is remote, viewers may catch up with the ensemble during the show’s two-part reunion.
The first installment will air on July 27, then the second installment on August 3.

Fans requested a new season.
While it is still early in the season, some fans have requested a second season or spin-off series shortly.
“Please, Mr. Perry, have a spin-off to the Haves and Have Nots. It’s unjust to get us hooked on something and then take it away. Please. I cannot get enough. This show sustains me. I adore it!!! “Thank you for the years,” one user tweeted.
