Haikyuu Season 5

Haikyuu Season 5

“Haikyuu!!,” with its excellently animated and drawn-out volleyball matches, shonen-style narratives, and in-depth characterizations of a slew of intriguing characters, is a popular sports anime running since 2014.

The series begins when Shy Hinata, a little but determined middle schooler, falls in love with volleyball after watching Karasuno High play on television, only to discover that no one else at his school is interested in the sport.

By the conclusion of his middle school career, he had convinced several friends to join his squad to compete in a competition. Despite redheaded Hinata’s incredible vertical jump, they suffer a devastating loss at the hands of Tobio Kageyama and his crew.

Hinata enrols and is admitted to Karasuno High School. He joins the volleyball squad only to realize that Kageyama, his brand-new enemy, is now his teammate.

As it turns out, the school is rebuilding its volleyball team. Despite their initial dislike for one another, these two newcomers have a lethal rapid strike combination that might reintroduce their volleyball team to the forefront.

Throughout the show’s four seasons, school rivalries grow, new players are introduced, training camps are visited, and the teams compete in events that test their mettle and interpersonal connections — and elicit the sort of passion that only exhilarating sporting moments can elicit.

With the completion of the series’ long-awaited fourth season, fans are anxiously anticipating word regarding the series’ fifth season. Here is what we currently know.

Haikyuu Season 5

When will Haikyuu Season 5 be released?

“Haikyuu! !’s” first three seasons were released in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Then, there was a significant gap between the third and fourth seasons, and Crunchyroll reports that the fourth season was not revealed until late 2018.

From January to April 2020, it will be broadcast in two segments (or course), followed by October to December 2020. It’s been many months since the final episode of Season 4 aired on Crunchyroll, and there is still no indication on whether Production I.G. will release a Season 5.

However, following the last episode’s broadcast on Crunchyroll in December, the English-language Haikyu!! In tweet thanking the “anime crew” for their efforts and adding, “Looking forward to the continuation!”

It suggests that it is anticipating the arrival of a fifth season. It’s impossible to predict when this may happen, and the show’s lengthy layoff between the third and fourth seasons has fans anxious that there will be another wait before Season 5 is officially announced.

Analysts believe the earlier delay caused internal causes, such as waiting for key staff members to finish other projects.

Extrapolating from the December 2018 renewal and the January 2020 airdate for Season 4, it is reasonable to assume that “Haikyuu!” has a one-year production cycle, which means that whenever Season 5 is officially announced, the show will almost certainly return 12-13 months later (possibly in a split-cour format).

That’s not the best news for fans, but hey — at the very least, the anime theme music was played during the volleyball tournament at the Tokyo Olympics. The property continues to be relevant.

Who is in Haikyuu’s cast?

Ayumu Murase stars as Hinata, Kaito Ishikawa as Kageyama, Yu Hayashi as Ryunosuke Tanaka, Satoshi Hino as squad captain Daichi Sawamura, Miyu Irino as Koshi Sugawara, Koki Uchiyama as Kei Tsukishima, Sôma Saitô as Tadashi Yamaguchi, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Yu Nishinoya, Yo The majority are volleyball players, while some, like Hinata and Kageyama, begin as first-years.

The fourth season, titled “Haikyuu!! To the Top,” has not yet been English. Bryson Bauga as Hinata, Scott Gibbs as Kageyama, Greg Cote as Tanaka, Justin Duran as Sawamura, Adam Gibbs as Sugawara, Leraldo Anzaldua as Tsukishima, Cameron Bautsch as Yamaguchi, Greg Ayres as Nishinoya, Orlanders Jones as Azumane, and Gareth West as Takeda comprise the English cast for the first three seasons.

There is no reason to anticipate any casting changes for the fifth season.

What will Haikyuu Season 5’s storyline be?

“Haikyuu!!” is based on Haruichi Furudate’s manga series, which concluded in 2020 with Chapter 402 and Volume 45. (the English translation is a few volumes behind).

With Chapter 292, the fourth season concluded triumphantly and emotionally, leaving plenty more plot to cover.

According to the manga, the team members will compete in the Nekoma vs. Karasuno contest in the garbage dump in Season 5, and there will be many more bouts, including some high-stakes events.

Essentially, there are several gorgeously illustrated volleyballs on the road. And Hinata will even meet “the Little Giant,” the player who got it all started for him.

If the anime series follows the manga to its conclusion in Season 6 and maybe a Season 7, viewers may be in for a huge surprise – the manga shifts in time and geography and even concentrates on a related but distinct sport.
