Lipa began her career at the age of 14 by uploading cover songs of her favorite musicians such as Pink and Nelly Furtado on YouTube. She was inspired by Justin Bieber’s discovery and rise to stardom, and wished to do the same. When she was 15, she returned to London intending to become a singer.

She did, however, leave the firm after they advised her to reduce weight. She made her cinematic debut in 2013 when she appeared in a television commercial for “The X-Factor.”
That same year, while working as a cocktail server, she signed a deal with Tap Management. Tap Management gave her a monthly income in exchange for quitting her work and concentrating on music recording.
She co-wrote the song “Hotter than Hell” at one of these Tap recording sessions, which resulted in her obtaining a record deal with Warner Music Group in 2015.

It was her first chart appearance on the US Billboard Hot 100, debuting at No. 72. Later the same year, Lipa was featured on Sean Paul’s chart-topping track “No Lie.”
