Kristen Mary Jenner who is better known as Kris Jenner is an American television personality, producer, entrepreneur, and socialite.
Kris became popular in 2007 when she starred in the reality television show which was based on the personal life of Kardashians titled “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” that ran until 2021.

Early Life
Kris Jenner was born on November 5, 1955, in San Diego, California. She is the eldest daughter of Mary Jo “M. J.” Shannon and Robert True “Bob” Houghton. Her mother is the owner of a kids’ clothing store, whereas her father was an engineer.
Her parents divorced when she was 11 and her mother raised her and her younger sister, Karen Casey, alone. But apparently, she remarried Harry Shannon who was a businessman and he supported her in the upbringing of both the kids. After her mother got married to Harry, Kris got a brother named Steven “Steve” Shannon.
After three months of relocating to Oxnard, California, the business partner of Harry Shannon reportedly escaped with all the capital of the company, and thus, the family had to return to San Diego.
Jenner worked at Shannon & Company in San Diego, a kids’ clothing store that her mother owned. She went to attend Clairemont High School and in 1973 she completed her graduation. In 1976, she worked as a flight attendant for a year for American Airlines.
Personal Life
On July 8, 1978, Kris Jenner got married to lawyer Robert Kardashian who gained immense popularity for his early legal representation of O. J. Simpson. The couple has 4 children together: daughters Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and son Rob.
In March 1991, the couple separated but they continued to be good friends through his demise in 2003 due to esophageal cancer.
Kris admitted about her extramarital affair with former soccer player and animator Todd Waterman while she was still married to Kardashian.
In her autobiography, she quoted Waterman as “Ryan”, though he disclosed his identity on his own. Both of them confronted each other on “Keeping up with the Kardashians” when Kris was taking tennis training.
After a month of her divorce from her first husband Kardashian, she married her second husband in April 1991, retired Olympian Bruce Jenner, who later came out publicly as a transgender woman in 2015, and adopted the name, Caitlyn.

Kris Jenner runs her own LA-based production company with the name Jenner Communications.
As prior to the beginning of the reality television show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, she has handled the career of her daughters: Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie. Jenner is also engaged with the business management of her other daughters and son.
In 2004, Jenner launched a children’s boutique named “Smooch” in partnership with her eldest daughter, Kourtney. The boutique ran for nearly 6 years prior to when it shut down in 2009.
Jenner introduced a clothing brand in 2011, named Kris Jenner Kollection with QVC. Earlier, in the 1990s, she had sold workout equipment with QVC.
Coming to her writing, in November 2011, her autobiography, “Kris Jenner… and All Things Kardashian”, was released.
Later, she also penned a cookbook titled “In the Kitchen with Kris: A Kollection of Kardashian-Jenner Family Favorites”, which was launched in October 2014.

In 2007, Jenner met with Ryan Seacrest in order to pursue a reality television show which majorly focused on her family.
Seacrest ran his own production company, and took the decision of developing the idea, as he already had the well-known family-based show The Osbournes in his mind. Further, she gave remarks on the expected series:
“Like, there’s the little girls, and there are the older girls, and then there’s my son. […] Everybody thinks that they could create a bunch of drama in their lives, but it’s something that I felt I didn’t even have to think about. It would be natural.”
Ultimately, the E! cable network picked up the show to premiere while Jenner served as the executive producer. The series revolves around the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian–Jenner mixed families.
On October 14, 2007, the series started airing and later became one of the longest-running reality television shows in the nation. On March 26, 2020, the eighteenth season of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” began to premiere.
