S*x Education is a comedy-drama series created by Laurie Nunn for Netflix. Everyone appreciated and loved the series, and the third and latest season dropped on September 17, 2021.

Fortunately, the series is already renewed for the fourth season. Here’s what we know now about S*x Education Season 4.

S*x Education Season 4 Release Date

Just eight days after the airing of season 3 of the series, Netflix announced the renewal of the series for its fourth season on September 25, 2021.

However, there is no further information after that announcement about its filming and production for the series. Still, considering the release pattern for previous seasons, we can expect season 4 of S*x Education to premiere anytime in the fourth quarter of this year. Still, depending on the pandemic protocols and situations, we can also expect a delay.

As confirmed by the show creator Laurie Nunn in an interview, protocols imposed due to the ongoing pandemic have turned to film a “slow and painful” process. She added, “Everybody [on set] had to dig quite deep – there were a lot of emotions swirling around.”

S*x Education Season 4 Expected Cast

Though there is no official confirmation on who will be returning or be the addition to the cast of S*x Education Season 4, we can expect the below form to return to reprise their roles.

There may be specific changes, so the official announcement is awaited.

S*x Education Season 5 Expected Storyline

S*x Education Season 4 Release Date

Before getting into the expected synopsis of season 4 of the series, let’s dig into the events that happened in the last season.

At the end of the third season of the series, a metaphorical life bomb was thrown at the students, declaring that Moordale High would be shutting off.

Following turning into an internet sensation for their open talks on s*x and the school board decided to shut down the place.

That’s pushing all our teenage characters to separate and look for a new school to finish their education apart from each other.

Consequently, all the more relationships and friendships will have to prove to their limit, except if they come together to put effort and rescue Moordale before it becomes too late.

Maeve and Otis are yet a lot in the ‘will they/won’t they?’ zone, following a kiss in France ultimately made them confess their emotions to each other. However, now that Otis and Ruby have become closer to each other is it a matter of it being a missed chance that will not ever emerge?

And right when it appeared as if both of them were ultimately going to give it a try, Maeve took the decision to move off to the United States so that she could make her “disgustingly big brain even bigger,” which let their relationship string up in the balance yet again.

Back in the ye old days of yore, Heraclitus said, “Everything flows, nothing stands still,” and there is every possibility of Maeve and Otis not being on the same tune again. Well, time will only tell this.

Adam and Eric are not together anymore and they realize that, unfortunately, when it comes to their s*xuality, they are not on the same page. In a scene, the proudly out Eric told Adam, “I just feel like I’m ready to fly and you’re just learning to walk.”

The core theme of the third season was, no doubt, everyone doing what is appropriate for them, taking their respective mental health as a priority, understanding and faithful love while accepting themselves for who they are. In the end, the most important relationship is with you only, so self-love is necessary.

At least, now Adam has no differences with his family after he patched things up and is only at the start of his new journey as an out gay individual. He has also learned his passion for dog training, which could be seen in the forthcoming season’s episodes.

On the other hand, Aimee is still coping with the aftermath of a s*xual humiliation that took place on a bus in the second season, and this prompted her to separate from her boyfriend and look for therapy with Jean. It enables her to get into her own without even feeling the necessity of having a man for support.

In a statement, Wood said, “Aimee’s had all these voices around her, talking about what she’s been through, and telling her what she’s been through,” adding, “Everyone’s trying to help, but it’s not until that moment in therapy… She’s fallen out with Maeve, her one best friend. She’s been told, ‘You should break up with Steve.”

Wood added, “She’s never been without a boyfriend. Everything that she’s afraid of comes true. And actually, she realizes, ‘Oh my God, I’m okay. Even though all these terrifying things have happened, I’m still here, and I’m still okay.'”

However, the major disaster we will have to deal with doesn’t emerge from the teens. Instead, it comes from the adults, with Jean almost dying while delivering a child at the end of the third season.

Jean’s unplanned pregnancy helped her become closer to Jakob, the assumed baby daddy. Although in the last few seconds of the previous episode, when she was cured in the hospital, Jean learns about the DNA results and, in Jerry Springer’s terms, “Jakob… you are NOT the father!”

And now, Jean has to make a decision. Will she choose to keep lying to Jakob to lead this happy life? Or will she come clean? In whatever way, this isn’t going to end reasonably, indeed.
