Searchlight Pictures announced the release dates for three films available exclusively on Hulu this summer as Hulu Originals: Andrew Ahn’s romantic comedy Fire Island, the Sundance film starring Emma Thompson, Leo Grande’s Good Luck, and Quinn Shephard’s Not Okay, both starring Zoey Deutch. On the streamer, all three had already been slated to bow.

Fire Island and Not Okay will also be available on Disney+ globally as Star Originals. Inspired by Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and shot in the Pines, Fire Island will premiere on Netflix on June 3.

The romantic comedy follows two best friends attempting to recreate a famous weeklong summer vacation using cheap rosé and a motley crew of eccentric companions. The ensemble cast is led by Joel Kim Booster, Bowen Yang, and Margaret Cho.

Good Luck To You, Leo Grande’, ‘Fire Island’, ‘Not Okay’

Best Wishes, Leo Grande, directed by Sophie Hyde, was earmarked for Hulu after Searchlight purchased the film for $7.5 million at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

The film, in which Thompson plays a retired school teacher pining for excitement and s*x, has been given a June 17 release date. Her plans include the employment of a young s*x worker called Leo Grande (Daryl McCormack).

Zoey Deutch, Dylan O’Brien, and Mia Isaac feature in Shepard’s written and directed film Not Okay. It will premiere on August 5 on Hulu.

It follows Danni Sanders (Deutch), an aimless wannabe writer who fabricates an Instagram-friendly vacation to Paris to increase her social media following.

Danni unknowingly gets into a falsehood larger than she ever anticipated when a horrible occurrence occurs there. She “returns” as a hero, forging an unusual connection with Rowan (Isaac), a school shooting victim committed to social change and snatching up the guy of her dreams, Colin (O’Brien). However, it is just a matter of time until the façade crumbles.
