Latest Update About Alejandro Villanueva & Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have made a few changes ahead of free agency in 2022, which begins in less than a week. On Wednesday, they dismissed cornerback Tavon Young and elected not to tender cornerback Chris Westry. Additionally, a Baltimore player chose his NFL future on Wednesday.

Alejandro Villanueva, the Ravens’ offensive lineman, was considered a possible cap casualty but has elected to retire from the NFL after a seven-year career. Villanueva spent his first six professional seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers before joining Baltimore in the offseason of 2021.

Young’s release and Villanueva’s retirement will save the Ravens around $11.8 million in cap space.
