MNet Queendom Season 2: Host & Date of Premiere

Mnet launched a popular Kpop idol survival show series in 2019 with the premiere of “Queendom,” subtitled “Comeback Battle.” The rivalry between Kpop female idols to win the Queendom title was fierce.

Six girl groups participated in the inaugural season, including Lovelyz, Oh My Girl, Mamamoo, (G)I-DLE, 2NE1’s Park Bom, and AOA.

Queendom will be followed in 2020 by another massive Kpop male idol competition, “Survive to the End,” with the subtitle “Road to Kingdom.” Seven male idol groups participated: Golden Child, The Boyz, Pentagon, TO1, ONF, Verivery, and ONEUS.

Then, in 2021, “Survive to the End” will be followed by “A New Legends Begins,” subtitled “Kingdom: Legendary War.” The event effectively captivated a large number of Kpop enthusiasts. Popular boy groups like iKON, SF9, Ateez, Stray Kids, BTOB, and The Boyz performed on the show.

Following the phenomenal success of the survival show series, “Queendom” will be followed by “Queendom 2” this year.

Queendom Season 2

On December 14, 2021, Mnet revealed that the sequel to “Queendom” will be released in 2022. The announcement has sparked excitement among pop fans, who are already debating which girl groups they would want to see on the show.

“THE QUEEN HAS RETURNED!” “Queendom Season 2”

On February 3, 2022, the first teaser clip for “Queendom 2” was published. It announced that the second season of MNet’s ‘Queendom’ would premiere on March 31 at 9:20 p.m. KST.

MNet published a new trailer on February 23 with Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation as the Queendom Season 2 presenter. She invites the participants into the spotlight and encourages them to take the next step in the video.
