Rick and Morty Season 6 Gets a Major Release Date Status Update

Rick and Morty’s Season 6 release date has been pushed back significantly! The fifth season of the extremely popular Adult Swim cartoon series concluded last year, and fans immediately anticipated the sixth.

As was the case between the fourth and fifth seasons, the wait for the next wave of episodes would be brief, as it was previously reported that development on Season 6 and Season 7 was ramping up as the fifth season aired.

From now on, extended delays between new episodes would be a thing of the past, and the sixth season was originally scheduled to premiere this year.

Adult Swim has hinted that Rick and Morty would return for Season 6 later this year, and a fresh update from TV Line’s Matt Webb Mitovich confirms this, claiming that he was “told that Adult Swim is already in production on Season 6, which will broadcast later this year.”

Unfortunately, it’s not a very definite update given the previously announced 2022 delivery timeline, but it’s another indication that the sixth season will arrive later this year.

When fans anticipate watching the new episodes, it’s quite probable that the next season will premiere in the Summer or Fall.

Whether the sixth season is split into two parts like Season 4 or if the last two episodes are delayed a few weeks, as Season 5 was, is still up in the air, but the sixth season of the series is on its way sooner rather than later.
