A Star Wars Legend Is Returning for Obi-wan Kenobi

Star Wars is not just a mere franchise but much more than that. And whilst there are more than enough causes for which the long-running science-fiction is as classic as it continues to be, the tremendously amazing music spread all around the world which is quite probably the most unforgettable facet.

It becomes immensely difficult to visualize the franchise without the legendary musician, John Williams.

Most likely, the fans of Star Wars were thrilled and excited after the official announcement was made about Obi-Wan Kenobi coming in for his own series. The news was first revealed by Variety that renowned music composer of Star Wars “John Williams” will be back yet again for the notable franchise in the forthcoming Disney plus series, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

John Williams is set to get back for the Star Wars franchise in order to lend his amazing skills for the signature theme once again for the forthcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries, according to a report from Variety.

This is a really big achievement for Disney as well as Lucasfilm since the legendary music icon hardly agrees to compose for television.

Williams Is Not the Main Composer of the Series

Williams Is Not the Main Composer of the Series

Ludwig Göransson has composed both the recent Star Wars series such as “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett.” Recently, Williams finished the sure-to-be hit and recorded the theme earlier this week along the side of a Los Angeles orchestra, as per reports.

We know the news comes as a surprise for Star Wars fans and they are thrilled, though it is essential to mind that the episode’s scores will not be composed by Williams, and the lead composer for the miniseries has not been announced as of yet.

It is presumed that the Obi-Wan Kenobi theme will probably be similar to the music that we first heard associated with the main character forty years earlier. Being the composer of every significant Star Wars movie, Williams composed the original Obi-Wan Kenobi theme that followed Alec Guinness who was the character’s original star.

Popular as the music of the “Force” it is one of the most notable pieces spread out all through the franchise. Whilst we are certain that the theme song will launch a fresh new masterwork for the franchise, the tone might echo and build off the original sound first became notorious in the Throne Room scene.

On the flip side, with entirely new theme music, the composer might treat audiences, getting the series further into the Star Wars’ future much similar to as Jon Favreau has done.

In the film music industry, John Williams is of course the most respected name. Except for the Star Wars franchise, he has also composed some other amazing franchises as well, for example, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, and Jurassic Park.

Being a popular music genius with fans all over the world, his achievements are enough to define his long-emerging success in the world of music. Williams is the 2nd highest-nominated individual, after Walt Disney having won twenty-five Grammy Awards and nominated for fifty-two Academy Award nominations.

And except for scoring a new song for Obi-Wan Kenobi, in spite of being the 90-year-old, his work schedule is still busy as ever.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is not the single project on which Williams is working currently, and he has no indication of losing speed even after celebrating 90 revolutions across the sun recently. Williams has also been occupied working on music with their next long-running collaborator, Steven Spielberg.

Additionally, the music composer is prepared to score the music for Spielberg’s coming-of-age semi-autobiographical drama The Fabelmans and action-adventure Indiana Jones 5.
