Shadow Warrior 3 Will Be The First Day One Launch Title For PlayStation Now

When Shadow Warrior 3 comes on March 1, it will be a PlayStation Now title.

The news was announced quietly via a PlayStation Blog article. Still, it represents a significant step for PlayStation Now, as Shadow Warrior 3 will be the streaming service’s very first day one launch title.

It is an excellent opportunity for customers to play Shadow Warrior 3 for free, and it’s not an entirely surprising move from Sony, given recent rumors that the company is working on a new program, codenamed Spartacus to compete with Xbox Game Pass.

It’s also likely that the firm is experimenting with day one debuts with Shadow Warrior 3 before embarking on a far more ambitious strategy.

Sony has not yet announced Project Spartacus in its entirety, but it is scheduled to be released by or before Spring 2022. It is expected to include numerous tiers, including access to a backward compatibility catalog that will include PS1, PS2, and PS3 titles.
