Following the renewal of the sixth season of SEAL Team, Paramount+ has ordered a stand-alone film.

The Bravo Team will be very busy. The SEAL Team television program franchise is being expanded by Paramount+, which has commissioned a feature film. Recently, the military drama was revived for a sixth season.

David Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, and Toni Trucks appear in the SEAL Team TV program, an action series. The military action-adventure series follows an elite Navy SEAL force as they prepare for, plan, and execute deadly missions for the sake of their country’s pride and glory.

Jason Hayes (Boreanaz), the Tier One team’s leader, is fierce and dedicated. Despite the hardships they and their families face, this SEAL squad is ready, willing, and capable of embarking on covert operations at the drop of a hat.

Ray Perry (Brown Jr.), Jason’s closest confidant; Sonny Quinn (Buckley), a devoted but self-destructive SEAL; and young Clay Spenser (Thieriot), a bilingual and second-generation SEAL. No-nonsense Lisa Davis (Trucks) is a DEVGRU Intelligence Officer assigned mostly to Bravo Team.

SEAL Team aired on CBS for four seasons and, despite a strong fan following, suffered in the ratings and was on the verge of cancellation. Last spring, the sitcom was renewed for a fifth season but was relocated exclusively on Paramount+.

CBS presented the season’s first four episodes as a “special presentation,” undoubtedly urging people to subscribe to access the remaining episodes.

SEAL Team has performed well for Paramount+, with the streaming service renewing the program for a sixth season earlier this month. There will be just ten episodes this time around, which is a standard arrangement for streaming platforms.

Additionally, Paramount+ has stated that a film will be made for the service. It is unknown when it will be published, but being a solo feature, it will not serve as a bridge between the fifth and sixth seasons.

Boreanaz, Christopher Chulack, and Spencer Hudnut will write and direct the film. Additional information will be made available in the future.

Boreanaz said on social media in response to the film’s announcement, “Wheels up! We’ll begin. I’m ecstatic to take things to the next level.”
