Previous Seasons and Details
The fans are dearly expecting the release of Ragnarok Season 2 which will finalize the story of Season 1. It is a Japanese manga that was made by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, with art by Ajichika.
The show was first streamed on TV Tokyo on April 7, 1997, and went on for 50 episodes. The manga was subsequently made into a television show by Masao Okubo and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu.
Record of Ragnarok was released on Netflix on June 27, 2021, with 12 episodes. People’s response to the series was negative, with the majority claiming that anime did not portray the manga correctly. This anime has also been the topic of heated arguments.
The series was about to stream in India, but it had to be canceled after knowing about Hindu mythology. But the program did not do well enough on foreign services. The audience is enthralled for the upcoming season, which will continue the story.
The creators have to keep in mind at every point on the renewal of season 2 so that it could be accepted wholeheartedly. Let’s see what the possibilities are of it being renewed as well as more details on season 2.
Is It Time for Another Season?
Netflix has not renewed season 2 of Ragnarok. We might have to wait till the next season to have a new storyline, but the creators have not given it any green signal yet. So we will have to wait and see if we have its next installment.
There could be certain causes behind postponing the series, as the anime has not had the same reach as the manga did. The show got only a 6.2 on IMDb and a 6.57 on Myanimelist, for an approximate rating of 3.8.
This suggests that the lack of success, as well as the nominal response from the audience, might be reasons for the decision of Netflix not to renew it. But we have observed that Netflix was affected by ratings only once. There is an opportunity to renew it in 2022 if the season is renewed.
This is just another guess but we will have to await the official remarks of the team on its renewal. The makers decided to adopt only a part of the Record of Ragnarok manga, selecting only 20 episodes from 47 chapters.
The source is considerable enough to be shown in the next season or the creators may be awaiting more volumes to be made, which can subsequently be adapted as amazing content. Only time will reveal the truth of certain possibilities.
Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Cast
Since the show has not been renewed for a second season, no details of casting are available right now. Having said that if another season happens we could get to see similar people again.
Also, there could be certain new characters to add some plot twists. We expect the following characters from season 1 to reprise their roles in upcoming installments.
They are Brunhilde voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, Goll who would be voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa, Randgriz who is voiced by Aya Kawakami, and Soma Sai portraying Adam’s role. Tomokazu Seki portrays the role of Bu Lu.
What Would Be the Plot in the Next Part of Record of Ragnarok?
There will be many other twists on preventing humanity from apocalypse from the perspective of saviors, but they will have their own set of difficulties. It will be interesting to note how Valkyrie Brunhilde protects the realm.
Season 1 had only expected three fights from thirteen, which were meant to happen between the Gods and Mankind. There is a chance to get more in the upcoming season. At this juncture, there is not a lot more to add.
We will keep you updated as soon as the actual teaser or trailer comes out. Those who have not yet seen the first season may get a quick summary here. This distinct storyline serves the story of saving mankind. In the year 2000, a council of God came together to argue about the future of humanity.
But when it is decided that humans are internally bad and must cease to exist, Valkyrie Brunhilde assumed the role to protect humanity and look for a golden chance to continue the existence of the species. Wars have been waged to make sure that it is safeguarded.
