In the latest announcement, it was made public that Shenmue will release on February 5th, 2022 at 12.30 AM EST. As previously mentioned, both platforms, Adult Swim and Crunchyroll will be airing it. Storyline of Shenmue
Set in Yokosuka in 1986, it shows Ryo Hazuki, a student of martial arts resolute on taking revenge for his father’s death. His father who had been training him in Hazuki Style Jujitsu is murdered, causing him to undertake a journey that will overturn his life.

Official Trailer of the Anime
The official trailer of the show gave us a glance at what to expect. The beginning of the trailer shows us Ryo’s aesthetic talent in Jujitsu after winning against one of his trainees. Ryo does not choose to go out for a celebration with his friends but rather chooses to stay back home and rehearse with his father.
Things take a turn for the worse when he arrives at Hazuki Dojo when he discovers that his father is dead. Going forward from there, he wants to figure out what caused the death of his father and who murdered him. On his path, he finds many different characters and comes to know about some harsh truths. The audience also gets to enjoy some intense fight scenes and many action sequences.
