This article contains all the information related to the game Sol Cresta and its release date. It also includes details about the gameplay, statements from the creators, and other such games.
Brief Introduction About the Game and Release Date
PlatinumGames’ postponed Sol Crestaa will launch on 22nd February 2022. The game was previously set to release last month, December 2021, but was unluckily postponed with no rescheduled launch date given.
Fortunately for us, a weekend Livestream broadcast divulged the new release schedule, affirming that the shooter will sell for $40/£40 and be released on PC, PS4 and Switch.
About the Gameplay
Sol Cresta, which was announced on April 1 but became a not very appropriate April Fool’s joke, is according to reports doubling down on the “free form docking and shooting” vertical style of gameplay that made the 1985 game such a cult classic hit.
A firmly enhanced vertical-scrolling shooter, it assigns you to combine three fighter planes in various methods in order to alter your plan of attack.
What the Developers and Parent Company Had to Say
The chief game developer and Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya said at the time of declaration that the sequel is part of Platinum’s efforts to become a studio that makes all types of fun games and not just action ones and is reportedly a little of an emotional project for the eminent designer.
The studio head of PlatinumGames also just teased that if Nintendo was there then their group would surely be willing to bring forth a new edition of Star Fox Zero to Nintendo Switch.
Atsushi Inaba said at the time that it was not impressive that some people are stopped from playing older games like Star Fox Zero – which was co-designed by Platinum – since they are no longer available on recent generation systems. He also indicated that the group would bring over any of such games to the recent standards if it was possible.
Other Similar Games and Their Release
Sol Cresta is not the singular PlatinumGames game that is going to be completed. ICYMI, Square Enix just declared that PlatinumGames’ co-op dungeon crawler Babylon’s Fall just achieved immense merit in its sales.
The announcement, made on a Livestream, ascertained that the game was ready to be launched, with the game still awaited release on PS4, PS5, and PC on March 3.
